The product
What is AI Insights, exactly?
A weekly intelligence briefing on developments in AI, written for senior technology leaders at banks and large enterprises. One email every Friday, organised so you can read it in under ten minutes and leave with a clear sense of what changed and what to do about it.
How is this different from any other AI newsletter?
Three differences. First, every story is scored across seven dimensions including hype — and we expose that score next to the headline. Second, we treat regulatory and banking framing as a first-class axis rather than an afterthought. Third, every kept item comes with a recommended posture: watch, explore, pilot, or ignore.
Who is this written for?
Chief AI Officers, CTOs, CDOs, CIOs, and other senior technology leaders at G-SIBs, large banks, insurers, and similarly-regulated enterprises. If your team builds AI, this isn't the briefing for them — it's the briefing you'd use to brief them.
How it works
Where do the stories come from?
Hundreds of curated sources monitored daily — frontier labs, academic research, enterprise AI vendors, policy and regulatory bodies, and a small set of expert commentators. The full list lives on the Sources page.
What does the hype score actually mean?
On a 1–10 scale, it's our judgement of how much surrounding noise is marketing versus signal. A 1 means “quietly important.” A 10 means “you will see this everywhere and it will probably amount to nothing.” We publish it because you should be allowed to disagree with us.
Is this written by a human or an LLM?
Both. Ingestion, scoring, and first-pass annotation use Anthropic's Claude inside a structured rubric. Editorial selection, framing, and the contrarian take are human-curated. Nothing ships without a human approval pass.
Subscriptions
Is it free?
Yes — free during early access. We may introduce a paid tier later for premium features (deeper coverage, breaking alerts, archives), but the core weekly briefing will remain free.
What does “join the waitlist” mean — am I subscribed?
Not yet. Email delivery is being finalised. By joining the waitlist you're registering interest, and we'll send a single confirmation email when subscriptions open. You won't hear from us until then.
How do I unsubscribe?
Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. No friction, no retention dark patterns, no exit surveys.
Privacy
Do you track opens or clicks?
Not currently. No tracking pixels, no rewritten URLs, no analytics cookies on the public site. If we ever introduce engagement metrics, we'll do it server-side and announce it openly.
What data do you keep?
Email address, the page or context you signed up from, and an optional inferred corporate domain. That's it. Full details are on the Privacy page.
